Last Mile Delivery

Last mile delivery is the final segment of a logistics chain, moving goods from a local hub to the end customer, and is typically the most expensive and labor-intensive leg. Robotic approaches include sidewalk delivery robots such as those from Starship Technologies, delivery drones, and autonomous vehicles. These systems must handle pedestrian-rich, unstructured outdoor environments with GPS-denied stretches, curbs, and weather.
