Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use almond.bot or buy hardware from Almond AI, Inc. We've kept them short. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them.
Last updated October 5, 2026
Orders and payment
Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, duties, and shipping, which are shown at checkout. Payment is due at checkout unless we've agreed to invoice terms or a purchase order in writing. An order is accepted when we confirm it by email. We may cancel an order and refund you in full if a product is unavailable, if there's a pricing or listing error, or if we can't ship to your location.
Shipping and delivery
We ship from San Francisco. Delivery estimates are our best guess, not a guarantee. Within the US, risk of loss passes to you on delivery. International orders ship DAP: you are the importer of record and responsible for import duties, taxes, and any local permits. Please inspect your order on arrival and report damage within 7 days.
Returns and warranty
Returns, cancellations, and our 1-year limited warranty are described in the Return Policy, which is part of these terms. Beyond that warranty, and to the extent the law allows, our products are provided as is, without any other warranty, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Safe use
Our robots are powerful machines intended for research, development, and industrial use by trained operators. You are responsible for installing, mounting, powering, and operating them safely, following our documentation, and carrying out your own risk assessment for your environment and application. Keep people clear of the workspace unless you've put appropriate safeguards in place.
Our products are not designed or certified for medical, life-support, or other safety-critical uses, or for use around children.
Software
The Axol SDK is open source and licensed under the terms in its GitHub repository. Firmware and other software that ships on our hardware is licensed, not sold, for use with that hardware. Third-party software and hardware in your order, such as NVIDIA Jetson, ZED cameras, Vive trackers, and the Quest 3, come with their own licenses and warranties.
Intellectual property
Almond, Axol, Jelly, Ox, Owl, and Mantis names and logos, and the content on this site, belong to Almond AI, Inc. You may use our drawings, CAD models, and documentation to integrate and operate our products. Please don't use our branding to suggest we endorse your product without asking first.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Almond is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or downtime, arising from our products or this site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product that gave rise to it. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Export control
Our products are subject to US export laws. You agree not to export, re-export, or transfer them in violation of those laws, and you represent that you are not located in, or acting for, a country or party subject to US sanctions.
General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in San Francisco, California.
- If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here when you place an order is the one that applies to it.
- A written agreement signed by both of us, such as a quote or purchase agreement, takes precedence over these terms where they conflict.
