Teleoperation
Quest 3 Teleoperation
Quest 3 teleoperation is the use of Meta's consumer Quest 3 mixed-reality headset as a robot teleoperation interface, streaming the operator's head pose, controller poses, or camera-based hand tracking as command signals while displaying the robot's camera feed in the headset. Open-source stacks built on it, such as Open-TeleVision and related systems, made immersive bimanual teleoperation available at consumer hardware prices.
Why it matters for physical AI
Demonstration data is the fuel of imitation-learned policies, and sub-thousand-dollar VR teleoperation rigs dramatically widened who can collect high-quality bimanual manipulation data.
Build physical AI
Put these concepts to work on real hardware
Axol is a dual-arm robot built for physical AI — teleoperate it, collect demonstrations, and deploy learned policies out of the box.
