RoboCasa

RoboCasa is a large-scale simulation framework for training generalist home robots, released in 2024, centered on 120 procedurally varied kitchen scenes populated with thousands of high-quality 3D objects, many created with generative AI tools. Built on RoboSuite, it defines 100 everyday tasks with language instructions and scales human demonstrations into large training sets via automated trajectory generation, with support for mobile manipulators and humanoid embodiments.

Why it matters for physical AI

Household-scale diversity in simulation is a proving ground for the scaling hypothesis in robotics, and RoboCasa is one of the principal open testbeds for studying whether synthetic data breadth translates into real-world generality.
