Robot Cable
A robot cable is cabling engineered to survive the continuous flexing, twisting, and torsion of robot motion, carrying power, servo feedback, network signals, and end-effector services along the arm in a managed package called a dresspack. High-flex designs use fine-stranded conductors, torsion-rated shielding, and abrasion-resistant jackets validated for millions of cycles, and many modern arms route cabling internally to eliminate snagging and simplify the work envelope.
Why it matters for physical AI
Cable fatigue is one of the most common wear-out failures in deployed robot fleets, and dressing constraints materially affect reachable workspace, tooling design, and maintenance schedules.
