LeRobot
LeRobot is an open-source robot learning library from Hugging Face, launched in 2024, that provides end-to-end tooling for real-world imitation learning: teleoperated data recording, a standardized dataset format, and training and inference code for policies including ACT, Diffusion Policy, and ported vision-language-action models. It targets affordable hardware such as the SO-100 and SO-101 arms and hosts community datasets and pretrained weights on the Hugging Face Hub.
Why it matters for physical AI
By standardizing data formats and lowering hardware costs, a shared open stack lets thousands of practitioners contribute demonstrations and reproduce results, mirroring the open-source dynamics that accelerated language models.
Build physical AI
Put these concepts to work on real hardware
Axol is a dual-arm robot built for physical AI — teleoperate it, collect demonstrations, and deploy learned policies out of the box.
