Workcell
A workcell is a self-contained arrangement of one or more robots together with the fixtures, part feeders, sensors, tooling, and safety equipment needed to perform a specific manufacturing task. Cell design fixes part presentation and robot reach, historically allowing blind, repeatable playback programs; modern cells add 3D vision and force sensing to tolerate part variation and reduce fixturing cost.
