Wireless Robot Control

Wireless robot control is the command and supervision of robots over radio links such as Wi-Fi, 5G, or proprietary RF, in place of tethered connections. System design must budget for latency, jitter, packet loss, and dropouts: teleoperation loops degrade noticeably beyond roughly 100 ms of round-trip delay, so deployments layer local safety behaviors, command smoothing, and autonomous fallback on top of the radio link.

Untethered operation is a precondition for mobile robots in homes, warehouses, and outdoor sites, and link quality directly bounds how much control can stay remote versus run onboard, shaping edge-compute architectures.
