Spot is a quadruped robot from Boston Dynamics, commercially released in 2020 as the company's first mass-produced product, weighing roughly 32 kilograms with electric actuation, stereo perception, an optional arm, and a payload and API ecosystem for third-party integration. Deployed in the thousands for industrial inspection, construction monitoring, and public safety, it is the most widely fielded legged robot and a common research platform via its SDK.
